Patrons With Particular Needs

If Your Hearing is Limited

Ear

In the Queen's and Landmark Theatre we have an infra-red system whereby you can use either an 'in-ear' unit which plugs into the receiver - a bit like a 'Walkman', or a loop which goes around your neck. This type can only be used if you have a hearing aid which can be switched to the 'T' position. These units have a volume control. All you need to remember is to hold the receiver unit with the 'bubble' facing the stage so that it picks up the infra-red signal. This system works at any time for any performance. Some music shows with loud music may be loud enough anyway, and the hearing aid system may distort the sound.

In the Landmark Pavilion there is an induction loop system. This will help people with a 'T' switch setting on their hearing aid. The system works when the sound from the performance is put through our mixing desk. It will not work, therefore, if the performance is acoustic (not amplified).

We would prefer it if, when booking your tickets, you tell us that you require the use of this equipment. Allow a little extra time when you arrive to sign a form at the Box Office when you pick up the equipment.

If Your Mobility is Limited

Chair

People with limited mobility are well provided for at both the Queen's and the Landmark.

At the Queen's Theatre there is a lift to the Circle and to the restaurant and it possible to get to many seats in both the Stalls and the Circle without a need to negotiate steps. If you use a wheelchair, you and your machine can get to spaces set aside for you.

At the Landmark, from the parking places to the Foyer, the Rendezvous Café Bar, the cloakrooms and the Pavilion there are no steps and all is practically on the level.

If you are going to a show in the Landmark Theatre itself, there is a lift to the Circle and it possible to get to many seats in both the Stalls and the Circle without a need to negotiate steps. If you use a wheelchair, you and your machine can get to front row Stalls (Row A) and to spaces set aside for you at either end of Row H. In the Circle, you can get to spaces at either end of Row D.

Helping Dogs

Paws

Helping dogs are, of course, welcome at both the Queen's Theatre and the Landmark. You may want to consider an end of row seat which will give your assistant more space, but you are welcome to book seats anywhere.

If you want to bring your assistant beforehand so that you can both familiarize yourselves with the building - which might help when you come to events - please or or telephone 01271 327357 so that we can arrange a time for someone familiar with the building to help you out.

Any Other Way We Can Help?

Ear

We are committed to ensuring, to the best of our ability, that everyone has full access to the facilities and events we offer. If you have a particular need which is not covered by anything described above then please do not hesitate to or or telephone 01271 327357 to explain. We will do our best to help without making a fuss.
