Terms and conditions

North Devon Theatres welcomes all to experience or participate in a wide range of arts and performance related activities. North Devon Theatres will not exclude anybody from its work, unless they are deliberately interrupting others enjoyment through anti-social and/or intimidating behaviour.

Tickets issued by North Devon Theatres’ Trust are sold subject to the following terms and conditions of sale:

North Devon Theatres’ Trust reserves the right to limit the number of tickets on sale to individuals.

Reservations, without payment, will be held for a maximum of 3 working days.

Tickets are non-transferable and may not be sold on for commercial gain.

North Devon Theatres’ Trust accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged tickets. Duplicate tickets may be issued for lost tickets on the day of the performance.

North Devon Theatres’ Trust takes no responsibility for tickets or services purchased via an agency or third party, including individuals purchasing on behalf of a group. Only tickets purchased from our Box Office are valid for admission to a performance or event.

Refunds/Exchanges: Once purchased, tickets may not be refunded except in the event of the show’s cancellation. However, if a performance is fully booked, we will try to re-sell your tickets. If we do manage to sell them, you will be charged 10% for this service. Refunds will be in the form of a credit voucher, valid for one year.

Discounts & Concessions: Only one concession applies per ticket. Proof of eligibility may be requested at time of purchase and/or on the day of the performance. Please inform our Box Office if you are entitled to a concession at the time of booking, as concessionary rates cannot be applied retrospectively.

North Devon Theatres’ Trust reserves the right to promote special ticket offers in addition to those published in our season brochures or on our website. These cannot be applied retrospectively, may be subject to limited availability and can be withdrawn at any time.

Booking Fees: For all events before 30th April 2016, a £1.50 Love Arts contribution is included with each seat sold for events taking place at The Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe and the Queens Theatre, Barnstaple. There is an additional booking fee of £1.00 on all transactions however this fee is not applicable to North Devon Theatres Members and Supporters and Groups of 10 or more including Schools

A processing fee of £1.00 per ticket is added for events taking place after 1st May 2016 at the Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe and the Queen's Theatre, Barnstaple. Group bookings of 10 or more (including school groups) do not have to pay this charge. One of the benefits of our membership scheme is that the processing fee is also waived for member's discounted tickets.

For events taking place at other venues, North Devon Theatres is the Ticket Agent. A booking fee of up to £1.50 per ticket is applied to these transactions.

Privacy Policy: We are committed to maintaining the privacy of our users and maintaining the security of any personal information received from them. When registering for any of our Services customers are asked to provide basic personal information. The information provided is not available for sale and is collected and used only with your informed consent.

User Account, Password & Security: When registering for online booking, customers are required to complete the registration process by providing certain information and registering a username and password for use with that Service. The customer is  responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password and also for all activities which take place under their account. 

Data Storage:North Devon Theatres customer data is hosted at an ISO27001 certified location in the UK. Data is not stored or passed or processed to organisations outside of the EEA.

Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation or amendment to our programme, we will make every reasonable endeavour to ensure customers are notified wherever possible. North Devon Theatres cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss incurred resulting from such a change.

Age Guidelines: Some performances or events may have age restrictions or guidelines, please check for any restrictions prior to purchasing your tickets.

Babies & Toddlers: While North Devon Theatres encourages access for all, we would recommend that parents or guardians do not bring infants less than two years of age into the auditoria. However, infants aged under eighteen months may be held on their parent or guardian’s lap for pantomime and all children’s events. A Lap Ticket is required and must be booked at the same time as the adult ticket. There will be no charge for this. Should the infant become restless and cause a disturbance, the parent/guardian will be requested to leave the auditorium with the child. We reserve the right to not re-admit.

Car seats, pushchairs, etc cannot be brought into the auditorium for safety reasons.

Unaccompanied Children: Children aged under 12 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult. In the interest of all our patrons, please note that children and school groups are the responsibility of their parent, guardians, teachers or carers, who should ensure appropriate behaviour in all areas of the building.

Your Visit: North Devon Theatres’ Trust reserves the right to refuse the ticket holder admission to the premises, change programme details without notice and provide alternative seats to those specified on the tickets. Our website and our brochure is correct at the time of publishing.  North Devon Theatres reserves the right to make such alterations as may become necessary.

Security searches may be carried out at certain performances and events.

Latecomers: Whilst we try our best to admit latecomers during a suitable break in the performance, late admission cannot always be guaranteed.

Filming & Photography: By entering our venues you give your consent to being photographed or filmed as a member of the audience. This may be used for future promotional activity.

Neither the producer nor North Devon Theatres’ Trust accept responsibility for personal property brought on to the premises.

The use of cameras, recording equipment and mobile telephones is strictly prohibited in the auditoria.

CCTV is in operation throughout North Devon Theatres’ venues for the purpose of crime prevention and detection.

Licensing: To comply with licensing regulations, drinks served in plastic cups and bottles may be consumed in the auditoria during some performances. All other drinks purchased from the bars and shop may be consumed in the foyers.
