By Car:
The Museum is the red brick building on the Square, at the end of the Long Bridge in Barnstaple.
There is no public parking at the museum (unless by prior arrangement in exceptional circumstances) but there is parking close by at Belle Meadow car park.

This car park is signposted as you approach the town centre. Parking is charged for between 8am and 6pm.
Parking for holders of appropriate badges is available at the Museum, close by in Litchdon Street and in Belle Meadow Car Park.

If travelling from outside the region exit Junction 27 of M5, and follow the A361 to Barnstaple. On arriving in Barnstaple, follow signs for the 'Town Centre'. 

By Train:
Barnstaple is the closest train station. It is the terminus of a long branch line, known as the Tarka Line, 39 miles (63 km) north west of Exeter, St David's.

There is no direct bus service between the train station and the Museum; however it is only a short walk (approx 5-6mins). Pedestrians should follow the road over the Long Bridge. The Museum is the red brick building on the Square at the end of the bridge.

By Bus:
Barnstaple Bus Station is situated a short walk from the Museum, approximately 3 minutes level walk.

First Group and Stagecoach both operate bus services in and around Barnstaple and North Devon. Timetable information can be found by clicking on these links.
