18 September - Four Poofs and a Piano Review

Four Poofs and a Piano have started their first UK tour and are already drawing rave reviews....

'FLAMBOYANT QUARTET PUT ON RISQUE DISPLAY'

"A camp quartet made famous by Jonathon Ross painted the town pink last night.
Four Poofs and a Piano performed at Aberdeen’s Music Hall, the only Scots venue of their UK tour.
Billing themselves as “more hairdressers than barbershop” the foursome brought their own touch to the stage, including a piano in red leopardskin.
They performed classics like It’s Raining Men and My Guy plus a host of original songs, with risqué lyrics and suggestive dancing. It raised a few eyebrows but the audience took everything in good grace.
Fitting in as many wardrobe changes as any diva, they even managed to slip on some kilts.
The few minutes of air-time the group get on Friday Night with Jonathon Ross are not enough to showcase their talents.
Just when the audience thought they had covered all bases, the quartet slipped on some tap shoes and danced their way across the stage.
A fabulous show of fur, glitter and clichés, Four Poofs and a Piano are a cabaret act that is not for the faint-hearted."
